An exciting new event, offering wine lovers an opportunity to enjoy their favorite wines complemented by perfect flavorful bites! Experience how each enhances the other. Travel around to participating wineries (5 of your choice) and learn more about the wine and gourmet bites you will be tasting during an intimate experience and conversation with the winemakers, as they discuss each pairing. Participating wineries have partnered with the best local chefs, caterers and restaurants to carefully design a delicious menu to serve with your favorite wines. This is the perfect gift for Mom on Mother’s Day weekend! Sip, savor and SAVE during this event and take advantage of special wine discounts on wines you take home. See the menu and offers below.

Tickets available are very limited for this event - buy early! Your ticket includes entrance to UP TO 5 wineries, and you will need to reserve time frames for each winery during ticket checkout. Buy early to ensure your preferred locations and time reservations! *No groups over 12+ persons are permitted, and no shuttles or charter buses are permitted at this event. Limousines for groups 12 persons or less are acceptable.

PAIRINGS MENUS & PARTICIPATING WINERIES

WESTBROOK WINE FARM - Sip and Savor three Westbrook Wine Farm Vineyard and Winery new releases paired with small bites created by Chef Jonathan Perkins, Erna’s Elderberry House Restaurant. Wine and food pairings include:                    
Uber Rhenish, Barrel Fermented Dry Riesling 2011 Hagopian Vineyard Madera County paired with Grilled octopus, pancetta, olives and preserved lemon served chilled on a skewer.
Museum, Estate Grown 2010 co-fermented red Bordeaux/Meritage style field blend paired with Waygu beef rillettes perfumed with soy and ginger, pot roast style carrots, crispy forbidden rice, lemon mint, served in a China spoon.
Fait Accompli, “Prodigy” Estate Grown 2010 co-fermented red Bordeaux/Meritage style field blend paired with flaky mushroom strudel in a China spoon with tart cherry compote, and caramelized vegetables and a fermented garlic mousse.

TOCA MADERA WINERY - Love and Garlic will be preparing delicious gourmet dishes to pair with three of our newest releases. At Toca Madera Winery, we will serve our Marsanne Viognier with a Tuscan White Bean Spread on a Crostini & Braise Artichoke Heart.  Our second pairing is our Syrah paired with a Taster's Trio of Tapa Classics (includes Manchego Cheese, Spanish Chorizo and Tapas Olives with Almonds). Our final pairing will include our Cabernet Syrah blend with a Paella with Spanish Chorizo, Prawns and Peas with Saffron.

PAPAGNI WINES - We will be offering guests three delicious pairings including Papagni Wines' 2001 Alicante Bouschet paired with Lamb Sausage with a Port Reduction Sauce, the 2010 Petite Sirah paired with Mediterranean Yalanchi, and our FuJin paired with Teriyaki Chicken Bites.

SAN JOAQUIN WINE COMPANY-
2014 Moody Press Pinot Grigio (new release) paired with house smoked Arctic Char, minted pea purée, preserved lemon crème fraiche and roasted shallot panko.
2013 Toschi Vineyards Pinot Noir or 2013 Paul Lorry Pinot Noir paired with bay and juniper poached free range chicken breast, Nantes carrot purée and pine nut-black cherry Agrodolce.
Epix Red Blend or SJWC Yosemite red blend paired with pulled lamb ragout with dry cured olives and roasted Padron peppers, Israeli couscous and fresh lemon thyme.

QUADY WINERY - Sip and Savor Quady Wines with Love and Garlic Artisan Foods and Catering at Quady Winery May 9th from 11am-5pm.   Your Quady experience will begin with an ice cold Electra Slushy and a guided tour through the winery ending in our bottling room retro fitted for a sit down wine and food pairing.  Your hosts Darin Peterson of Quady Winery and Nancy Vajretti of Love and Garlic will guide you through the three wine and food pairings specifically designed to enhance each other.  Our guided tours start at the top of the hour with the sit down pairing seminar starting at 15 after the hour and ending 30 minutes later.  Please arrive on time for the full Quady sensory evaluation. 

BIRDSTONE WINERY - Sip and Savor three of the best Birdstone Winery wines paired with small bites created by Ian Cookson, The Vineyard Restaurant. Wine and food pairings include:                  
Viognier, Birdstone 2012 Barrel Fermented John Simpson Vineyard - Madera County - paired with grilled locally harvested chicken breasts, skewered and seasoned perfectly with a Asian pepper glaze.
Pinot Noir, Birdstone Estate Grown 2011- Madera County - paired with a Canape layered with lightly grilled panchetta, local tomato, local mozzarella, all resting on an in-house made Chaibatta and drizzled with premium herb infused olive oil.
Syrah, Birdstone 2012 John Simpson Vineyard – Madera County - paired with a Canape layered with grilled lamb, local tomato, all resting on an in-house made Chaibatta drizzled with premium herb infused olive oil and delicately seasoned with sea salt.  Additional pairing surprises as well.

FICKLIN VINEYARDS - Join us at Ficklin Vineyards as Lela's Restaurant pairs up delicious savory bites with three of our favorite Ports. Executive Chef/Owner, Manuel Carr tasted with Peter Ficklin as they worked to design this special sensory experience to share with you. As you arrive in our barrel room, begin your tasting experience with Lela's signature welcome--freshly made chips and hummus. For your first Port pairing, enjoy the bright, deep berry flavors of our newly released 2010 Souzao with a creamy red pear Dolce Bleu cheese and prosciutto filo cup. Your next pairing will be our classic 1996 Vintage Port with Lela's chilled seasonal heirloom tomato and cucumber gazpacho. The layered complexity of this Vintage Port is balanced beautifully with the bright, refreshing crispness of Lela's gazpacho. For your third pairing, sip our Aged 10 Years Tawny Port with a shredded duck crustini, with dried cherries, caramelized red onions, sweet red/yellow/orange bell peppers drizzled with a light thyme vinaigrette.

Most of the wineries are open for regular tasting and tours the day following this event, Mother's Day. Check with the wineries for their usual hours and terms for wine tasting outside of this special event.
